One interesting thing I noticed that in many states (for example VA, NC, TX) people who live around big cities vote for democrats. My theory is that this might be a result of media and internet involvement and overall more politically active life style around the cities, while people outside of the cities get most of the information from more controlled sources and each other. Of course I might be wrong and if you have better theories on this subject, I would be very much interested to have your comments and feedback.
